WHY MY TOES ACHE

As we started to aged, there were so many "aches" we felt in our body. The pain mostly occurred in the middle of the night. A swollen, red appearance of the toe, the tenderness can't be touch due severe pain. This was common joint disorder in the knees, ankles and even wrists. It hit you anytime whether it is in a day or night.

This inflammatory pain was the result of body's responses to the accumulation of urate crystal, the culprit in and around the affected joint. Because of purine, the breakdown molecules, started to developed into a uric acid. This purine were high in organ meat (liver) and sardines.

The body's problem of too much uric acid in the system less excreted from the kidney can elevate the uric acid levels resulted to the disorder. If the urate crystal formed in the space of the joint it became inflamed and then pain follows.

There are many reasons in having a joint disorder:

If you are overweight, your excessive intake of alcohol, excessive intake of food high in purines, from severe illness or from injury and certain medication (diuretics) can cause joint disorder.

The attack will come suddenly without any warning signs. It produced an intense pain. The affected part became swollen. With the use of medication it can relieve the pain in his own time. But if left untreated, it may result to more serious one, a joint damage. You will have a high fever leading to infection of the joint. It is not good if you have a heart disease.

Taking NSAID medication has certain restriction especially if you have kidney disease, bleeding ulcers, high blood pressures. Joint pain will recur but if you have preventive medication ready it will ebb away.

By drinking several glasses of water a day can flush out excess uric acid. The best way  is to maintain a healthy weight to reduce joint strain.
